Engaging diverse audiences & encouraging conversations around
WATER & WATERWAYS
Flow Photo is a new national photographic competition which will open for entries in Summer 2018. A panel of selectors from the fields of photography, film, environment and water industries will choose approximately 60 works for a touring exhibition.
The project aims to raise awareness and encourage debate about water and waterways in all aspects as seen through the photographer and film-maker’s lens. Both the call for entries and exhibition phase will enhance the enjoyment that people gain from being near water and will promote the therapeutic effects that water, canals and rivers can have.
Flow Photo will celebrate the best in contemporary documentary photography and film-making linked to the identified themes, and will do so in a contemporary and inspiring way that befits the 21st century. It will inspire new generations in the UK and worldwide to learn more about the waterways of the UK and to encourage use of documentary photography and film-making for a wide range of potential users, from school children to ambitious artists.
Flow Photo is sponsored by The Future Water Association and supported by the Canal & River Trust. Click here to enter the 2018 competition.
