THE CANAL & RIVER TRUST RESIDENCY PRIZE WINNER

The six month Residency Prize, OF £6000, developed by the Canal & River Trust and intended to ‘unveil the unique and often hidden wellbeing stories behind the lens…and provoke fresh conversations about the extraordinary range of benefits that water and waterways provide’ (Tim Eastop, executive producer of the Canal & River Trust Arts on the Waterways Programme) has been awarded to portrait and documentary photographer Jonathan Goldberg. Eastop adds that ‘the panel agreed that his highly individual, idiosyncratic angle on people engaging with water would lead to wonderful new images about water, waterways and the role of the Canal & River Trust. We felt he would deliver a brilliant portfolio of new photographs focused on human interactions with our special waterways and the wellbeing rewards they offer’.
